We are supporting a consulting partner on an M&A-driven transformation programme and are looking for an experienced operational specialist to support an upcoming phase of work. The focus will be on assessing and optimising core operational processes, defining best practice ("what good looks like"), and supporting the design of an effective operating model ahead of potential system changes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end process mapping and analysis across core operational workflows
- Identify inefficiencies and opportunities to optimise performance and scalability
- Define future-state processes and establish clear design principles
- Challenge both business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure robust, practical solutions
- Support operating model design, ensuring alignment between people, process, and technology
- Translate business requirements into clear inputs for system development / ERP configuration
- Contribute to strategic decision-making during programme scoping and delivery
Scope of Work
The role will cover a range of core processes, including but not limited to: finance operations (AR, AP, month-end close), order-to-cash and customer order management workflows, transport, logistics and supply chain processes, and customer-facing and mobile app journey requirements.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in operational process mapping and optimisation
- Experience designing or implementing operating models and process frameworks
- Exposure across multiple functional areas (finance, operations, supply chain, customer operations)
- Ability to operate in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, ideally within transformation or M&A contexts
- Experience within consulting (Tier 1 / Tier 2) or a blend of consulting and industry
- Prior involvement in transformation or value creation programmes
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, etc.) sufficient to engage with IT teams
