We are looking for Technical Architects to work on complex but interesting discovery pieces of work for our government client projects.
Start dates: We have projects due to start on 1st and 7th September 2026.
Contract lengths: 12 weeks and 4 weeks (possible extensions afterwards).
WoW: Majority remote working (must be based in the UK) with travel to client site once or twice a month at the client’s office in London/Cambridge.
Day rate: competitive/dependant on experience (will share day rate range before arranging a screening call and will be discussed during the call too).
IR35 status: via umbrella.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides the end-to-end architecture perspective for the Discovery covering both the technical systems landscape and high level data architecture across regulatory organisations.
- Produce assessment and recommendations to inform the supervision model and Alpha.
- Map technical systems across regulatory organisations: platforms, integration points, data flows and constraints.
- Map a high level current data landscape: ownership, format, quality, access terms and IG constraints.
- Assess data and monitoring maturity across water company archetypes.
- Identify technical risks, constraints and open questions; maintain the technical risks log.
- Assess feasibility of supervision model options against technical and data architecture constraints.
- Inform architecture options against DDTS standards and cross-programme alignment.
- Produce high-level technical and data architecture recommendations for the future state and Alpha readiness assessment.
- Contribute to team ceremonies, code / artefact reviews and continuous improvement.
- Grow expertise through pairing and community of practice contributions.
