About us
We're Transform. Transform is a fresh alternative to Big Consulting. As an end‐to‐end transformation partner, we define, design, build and operate systems that solve our clients' toughest challenges and seize their biggest opportunities. That often means combining strategy, data, AI, technology, and change management. Sometimes we manage and operate the systems we create; other times, we hand it over for the client to run – standing by to make improvements when things change. It all comes down to making an impact: improving lives, supporting citizens, streamlining workflows, and making the world a better place. We specialise in public sector and public‐facing organisations – from government agencies and local authorities to energy, utilities, transportation and healthcare. We also work for some of the world's most dynamic brands across automotive, retail, financial services, and consumer goods.

In 2024, Transform acquired Cadence Innova, the UK's leading public sector change consultancy. The result is a fresh kind of partner: together, we're able to deliver change from the very first ideas through to deployment – building on our deep relationships at every level of government.

We're part of the Next 15 group, a multi‐national organisation spanning over 25 brands. We combine the financial robustness and breadth of services of a large organisation, with the nimbleness and innovation of a smaller brand.

If you are keen to help us build the workforce of the future, we should talk. We're all in! That's what gets us out of bed every day. We hope you feel the same.

Key Responsibilities

The Role: We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our Product & Delivery team. As a Senior BA, you'll help some of the UK's largest organisations make evidence‐driven decisions. You'll be a part of a growing team in Manchester and you'll work across a variety of projects in the public and private sector. You will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs, technology solutions, and users and you'll put data, analysis and evidence at the fore of client decision‐making.

As a senior consultant, you'll recommend and support organisations to deliver better experiences and technical products for their users, stakeholders and customers. We're motivated by solving challenging problems, and you'll be responsible for making an impact for clients.

You will need to show a passion for what you've done and pride in your achievements. We're a team with a growth mindset, so we look for people who want to learn and help others progress.

  • You will be responsible for working out how to address challenging problems for clients, using a range of techniques to produce analysis that can give them direction.
  • You will work with quant and qual research, data and analytics to produce recommendations that lead to great user experiences and technical products.
  • You will recommend and work to implement improvements to processes by using methodologies like UML, BPMN or Six Sigma.
  • You will work with product and service owners to prioritise features, develop roadmaps and implementation plans and manage the end‐to‐end product lifecycle.
  • You will define and measure the success of products and services.
  • You will elicit and document both functional and non‐functional requirements, translate them into user stories with clear acceptance criteria, and maintain traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • You will be a part of a multi‐disciplinary, agile team, working collaboratively with clients, Transform team members and other suppliers to create impact.
  • You'll play a part in our Community of Practice, supporting your peers to develop and learn, and doing so yourself.
  • You will support with line management of junior team members, providing guidance, mentorship, and helping to nurture their development.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Experienced working in multi‐disciplinary, agile delivery teams at all stages of the product lifecycle.
  • Happy helping teams and stakeholders decide what to do by putting evidence at the forefront of decision‐making – working with a variety of data and disciplines to develop and produce analysis, including user research, data and analytics.
  • Thrive when leading in complex environments, when the solution isn't clear.
  • Able to communicate your thoughts and recommendations with impact, often making technical or specialist information understandable to non‐specialist audiences.
  • Experienced helping teams focus on delivering value, whether that's developing business cases or prioritising features and roadmaps.
  • Focused on measurement – designing performance frameworks, launching products/services and measuring against them.
  • A capable collaborator – ensuring we get the best out of the people we work with by designing and leading workshops that foster collaboration and build consensus.
  • Able to lead teams to explore solutions with different methods, including analysis, prototyping and proof of concepts.
  • Experienced making change happen in the public sector or with similar large, complex organisations.
  • Willing to learn and grow, and support others' development.
