The Bid Excellence and Proposition Lead is a hands-on, day-to-day operator responsible for delivering high-quality, compelling propositions across Transform’s public sector bids. Reporting to the Managing Director of Sales & Marketing, this role works closely alongside the Head of Bid Quality & Assurance (Advisory).
The role plays a central part in developing win themes, shaping narratives and facilitating storyboard and solution design sessions — sometimes independently and sometimes in partnership with the Head — with a clear emphasis on learning, progression and continuous improvement of bid craft.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the day-to-day development of bid propositions, win themes and narrative structure across live bids.
- Coordinate and facilitate storyboard, win-theme and solution design workshops.
- Co-facilitate sessions led by the Head of Bid Quality & Assurance (Advisory), supporting session flow and capturing insight to aid learning.
- Progressively lead sessions independently, applying best practice and feedback.
- Translate complex technical and functional inputs into clear, persuasive, evidence-based responses.
- Support bid writers and SMEs through hands-on guidance, structured feedback and iteration.
- Apply established bid quality standards and review processes across live bids.
- Prepare bids for senior advisory and leadership review.
- Track actions and improvements arising from feedback cycles.
- Own and maintain bid knowledge libraries including case studies, proof points and metrics.
- Facilitate lessons learned following bid submissions and outcomes.
- Experience in UK public sector bidding and tendering.
- Strong written communication and storytelling capability.
- Understanding of procurement processes and evaluation criteria.
- Confidence facilitating workshops and working with senior stakeholders.
- Strong organisation, attention to detail and ability to work at pace.
- Desirable: APMP qualification or exposure to evaluation panels.
