Surrey Support Temporary (Fixed Term Contract) Alcohol Harm Reduction Lead– Based across all Transform Projects.
Salary: £30,000 pa plus benefits
Full time, fixed term (12 months; possible extension) - 39 hours per week. Flexibility for part time will be considered.
The Alcohol Harm Reduction Lead (AHRL) will work alongside current Housing and Support Officers within Transform to provide advice and guidance to staff and direct interventions to improve outcomes for Transform clients who are drinking alcohol at harmful levels, across all our services in Surrey. This is an exciting career opportunity for someone who is keen to use their skills and experience working with this client group.
The successful candidates will have:
- Experience of managing a caseload of service users with complex needs.
- Awareness of issues faced by others involved with people experiencing drug and alcohol related problems.
- Proven verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor the message to the audience.
- Able to deliver a range of services/treatments/interventions in a person-centred, non-judgmental manner.
Partnership working within Transform and with partner agencies will be crucial in this role. This role will work with the individual’s key worker (and teams) to support timely and effective strengths-based assessments and co-produced recovery support plans focused on setting goals with the individual and key partners to ensure the individuals' needs are being met. To support the keyworker(s) through review and monitoring the delivery of the support plans.
The role is agile and working across Transform’s services. Regular travel between properties is required as is daily face-to-face meetings with clients. The role may mean some home working and office-based to suit the needs of the clients. This role is contracted to work up to 39 hours a week 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday. There is flexibility with the hours. However, personal flexibility is required for this role to meet the requirements of the clients.
The AHRL will need to work closely together to ensure all areas are covered. The AHRL must be able to take part in the existing rota which provides support for the clients across Transform. A full, valid driving licence and own car insured for business use is also essential.
