Housing Compliance Officer in Surrey

Salary: £35,000 per annum plus benefits Location: Leatherhead, Surrey Working pattern: Permanent, full time (37 hours per week) Department: Asset Management & Development About the role Transform Housing & Support provides housing and support for socially excluded and vulnerable people across Surrey, parts of Berkshire, West Sussex and the London Borough of Sutton. We believe everyone should be able to live an independent and fulfilling life. As our Housing Compliance Officer, you'll own landlord compliance across our housing portfolio. You'll run the health and safety programmes that make sure every property meets the standards that keep residents safe in their homes. You'll join our Asset Management Team of 20 people, who provide services to our Housing Support colleagues and the people we house. What you'll be doing Delivering all servicing and cyclical maintenance across the portfolio, using in-house teams and external contractors Managing HHSRS works through our IT systems, in line with HHSRS and Awaab's Law Arranging and monitoring gas servicing, EICRs and other compliance appointments with external contractors Managing service chargeable works through cyclical maintenance programmes Making sure all remedial works from inspections and surveys are instructed, completed and recorded with the right evidence What you'll bring Experience delivering servicing and compliance programmes with cyclical maintenance contracts in a housing association or local authority Experience in property maintenance, either client side or contractor side A thorough understanding of registered landlord responsibilities for statutory, regulatory and HSE requirements A thorough understanding of Awaab's Law and the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) Knowledge of regulatory compliance in the housing association or local authority sector Experience using IT systems to manage and monitor performance The ability to take ownership of issues and deliver to set timescales What's on offer 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays An extra wellbeing day each year The option to buy or sell up to five days of annual leave each holiday year Defined contribution pension scheme Interest-free staff loans Life assurance cover Flexible working where possible, in a culture that focuses on outcomes Additional information This role requires a Basic DBS check, which we will complete after a successful application.
