Salary: £35,000 per annum plus benefitsLocation: Leatherhead, SurreyWorking pattern: Permanent, full time (37 hours per week)Department: Asset Management & DevelopmentAbout the roleTransform Housing & Support provides housing and support for socially excluded and vulnerable people across Surrey, parts of Berkshire, West Sussex and the London Borough of Sutton. As our Housing Compliance Officer, you'll own landlord compliance across our housing portfolio. You'll run the health and safety programmes that make sure every property meets the standards that keep residents safe in their homes. You'll join our Asset Management Team of 20 people, who provide services to our Housing Support colleagues and the people we house.
What you'll be doingDelivering all servicing and cyclical maintenance across the portfolio, using in-house teams and external contractorsManaging HHSRS works through our IT systems, in line with HHSRS and Awaab's LawArranging and monitoring gas servicing, EICRs and other compliance appointments with external contractorsManaging service chargeable works through cyclical maintenance programmesMaking sure all remedial works from inspections and surveys are instructed, completed and recorded with the right evidenceWhat you'll bringExperience delivering servicing and compliance programmes with cyclical maintenance contracts in a housing association or local authorityExperience in property maintenance, either client side or contractor sideA thorough understanding of registered landlord responsibilities for statutory, regulatory and HSE requirementsA thorough understanding of Awaab's Law and the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS)Knowledge of regulatory compliance in the housing association or local authority sectorExperience using IT systems to manage and monitor performanceThe ability to take ownership of issues and deliver to set timescalesWhat's on offer28 days annual leave plus bank holidaysAn extra wellbeing day each yearThe option to buy or sell up to five days of annual leave each holiday yearDefined contribution pension schemeInterest-free staff loansLife assurance coverFlexible working where possible, in a culture that focuses on outcomesAdditional informationThis role requires a Basic DBS check, which we will complete after a successful application.
