We’re on a mission to change the football transfer market. TransferRoom is a hyper-growth B2B SaaS SportsTech company and the only digital marketplace in the world focusing on the global football industry. We do this by empowering football clubs, agents and players to be successful in the transfer market by giving them real-time market intelligence and direct access to a global network of decision-makers.

This is a hands‑on, full‑ownership role - you’ll be the person behind the systems, data, and processes that keep our People function running smoothly. Our London office is at Bankside, with additional tech hubs in Poland and Ukraine. Our office is naturally social, especially Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays when we have regular team drinks, celebrations, and five-a-side football.

What you’ll be doing

  • HR Systems & Data: Own and administer HiBob end-to-end - configuration, data integrity, reporting, and integrations with payroll, benefits, and TeamTailor. Build the dashboards and reports on headcount, turnover, and other People KPIs and continuously evaluate our HR tech stack.
  • Compliance & Policy: Own UK and multi‑country employment compliance, keeping us aligned with local labour law as we expand. Maintain the employee handbook and HR policies, manage right‑to‑work checks and visa submissions, lead contractor set‑up in new jurisdictions, and own employee records management and data privacy compliance.
  • Employee Lifecycle: Manage onboarding and offboarding processes end‑to‑end, ensuring a consistent, high‑quality experience, and support performance management cycles with logistics, tooling, and data.
  • Payroll & Benefits: Partner with Finance to run accurate, on‑time payroll, coordinate benefits administration, open enrolment, and vendor relationships, and be the first port of call when people have questions on pay, benefits, or policy.
  • Automation & Process Improvement: Bring an AI‑first mindset - build automated, scalable solutions, rather than waiting for tooling to catch up.
  • Projects & Manager Support: Lead or support wider HR projects, and act as a go‑to resource for managers on policy application and best practice.

Who you are

  • Must have 5-8 years in HR/People Operations, ideally in a scaling tech or SaaS business
  • Hands‑on HRIS experience (HiBob or similar), comfortable owning a system end‑to‑end
  • A strong working knowledge of UK employment law
  • Confident with data - comfortable building reports and dashboards, not just pulling numbers on request
  • High attention to detail and comfort handling sensitive, confidential information
  • Experience coordinating payroll with Finance

Nice to have

  • Exposure to multi‑country employment and contractor compliance
  • Track record of using AI tools to build real automation (not just ChatGPT for drafting) - e.g. scripting, workflow tools, or system integrations that removed manual work

Not ticking every box? That’s okay! Research shows that underrepresented groups often self‑select out of applying unless they meet every single requirement. If this role excites you, we’d love to hear from you — even if you’re still growing into some of these skills.
