Overall Purpose Assembles and tests the electronic/electrical components, subassemblies and assemblies. Key Duties Assemble electronic/electrical subassemblies from schematic diagrams, drawings or verbal instructions and following works order instructions to ISO9001 standards. Wire and solder wiring harness and cable assemblies, PC boards, SMT, transformer assemblies, control consoles, connectors, etc. Perform limited troubleshooting and testing of assemblies. Perform limited computer controlled operations. Ensures assembly/sub-assembly build times are met to maintain department efficiency target of 100%. Carry out job tasks safely using good working practices. Carry out all assembly work to the required department quality standards. Carry out heavy-duty cable wiring, deck cable assembly, and control system outfitting. Complete all necessary documentation according to the requirements. Ensures assembly/sub assembly build times are met for major project schedule. Key Requirements 1 to 5 years\’ experience in shop operations. Experience with production processes and equipment. A good understanding of electrical/electronic systems essential. Must be able to read and interpret drawings and sketches. Low voltage AC/DC panel wiring/looming. High voltage installations. Control/Data systems. Fibre Optic handling/termination. The Package £31,111 per annum. 37 hours per week – 8.30am to 4.30pm Mon-Thurs and 8.30am to 4pm Friday (flexi-time is available). 25 days holidays and 8 bank holidays. 5% salary sacrifice pension. Private healthcare. 2 x base salary life insurance.
