Baltic Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Permanent Accounts Manager for a client located in Bishop Auckland. Our client is looking for an Accounts Manager to join a growing team, supporting a portfolio of clients. Reporting to the Company Directors, this autonomous position will be a challenging role requiring a person who can adapt and be flexible in managing their duties. Managing a small team with the responsibility to drive proactive accountancy and purchasing, as a key influencer throughout the business. It would be advantageous if you have experience working within a multi-sector/product manufacturing and distribution organisation.
In this role, you'll manage, review, publish accounts, help mentor and train the team, and play a key part in delivering high-quality service to clients. Main Duties & Responsibilities:- Ownership for producing month end management financial statements (P&L and BS) closing the month.
- Month end balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining schedules.
- Month end variance analysis.
- Responsible for driving month end stock count accuracy.
- Stock valuations info (including updating to latest costs).
- Reconciling stock movements through both Sage and internal stock control sheets.
- Producing and posting Accruals, Prepayments, Materials, etc.
- Month end supplier statement reconciliations (aged debtors).
- Producing and posting credit card expenses.
- Proactive cost analysis.
- Month end sales reconciliation and distribution of these figures to directors through balance sheet and plant metrics.
- Producing weekly/monthly payroll journals to submit to external accountant.
- VAT reporting.
- Proforma submissions and communications both internally and externally.
- Purchase control and linked info updated.
- Supporting the finance function by undertaking ad-hoc projects and tasks throughout the month and at month end.
- Customer credit authorisations.
- Performing own clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and scanning.
- Answering telephone, greeting visitors, when required.
- Other ad-hoc tasks.
