tranScrip is a highly specialist pharmaceutical consultancy that, in the last 2 decades, has supported over 500 clients to deliver many development programmes and regulatory submissions. tranScrip has an excellent reputation for providing strategic expertise, therapeutic experience and operational excellence across the entire product lifecycle, from translation to prescription. The purpose of this role is two-fold: to build business in the Neuroscience Area of leadership across all of tranScrip’s service lines and with support from Business Development to drive excellence in the delivery of projects (quality, time and cost) in Neuroscience to meet / exceed clients’ expectations Please note this role can be UK or EU based with remote and hybrid working options available. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Building Business Lead company-wide cross-functional efforts to build, maintain and expand tranScrip’s revenue and client project portfolio in the specific Therapy Area Identify opportunities for growth within existing and new client relationships. Support individual proposal development, and deal closing Lead prioritization of leads and the quality of proposals in the specific Therapy area to ensure business opportunities are maximised Leverage his/her external network and promote tranScrip’s expertise as a leading specialist consultancy in the specific Therapy Area Identify and attend conferences and other industry events to represent tranScrip in the specific Therapy Area, including speaking / panel opportunities Attend major pitches and scoping calls to secure new business in the specific Therapy Area Review and contribute to Account Management Plans for clients in the specific Therapy Area Driving Excellence: In specific Therapy Area, oversee portfolio and individual project delivery (quality, time and cost) that meets or exceeds client expectations. Act as a key point of contact for key clients to provide strategic insights and address issues Work with Heads of Functions to recruit and retain top Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in the Therapy Area, to meet the evolving needs of the TA client project portfolio Work with Project Management and Heads of Functions to allocate and monitor resource utilisation across projects to efficiently deliver client projects to high quality. Act as Subject Matter Expert in the specific Therapy Are on client projects, either directly as the SME lead and/or supporting other SMEs to maximise their contribution to the projects Provide strong Therapy Area leadership and mentorship to SMEs, ensuring their continuous professional development and performance. Contribute to a rigorous programme of CPD to ensure Therapy Area industry knowledge is cutting edge Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes in the pharmaceutical sector to ensure the team’s expertise remains competitive and innovative KEY ATTRIBUTES AND COMPETENCIES Higher level degree in Scientific, Medical or Commercial / Business discipline (e.g., MSc, PhD, Dip Pharm Med, MBA) Deep therapeutic area expertise Extensive drug development and/or commercialisation experience with a track record of progressing assets through translational, clinical or commercialization milestones Leadership experience within pharmaceutical (VP) and/or biotech (C-suite); service industry experience or experience in consulting is advantageous Strategic thinker, comfortable with being hands-on to get things done and with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and with a healthy understanding of risk and reward Strong network of industry contacts, with a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors and a demonstrated ability to build and maintain industry relationships Good level of general IT literacy including MS Office suite Outstanding communication, planning and organisational skills Flexible attitude to travel, working with an international client base and towards working individually as well as part of a team
