A major UK & International freight forwarding company is looking for a Sales Administrator to provide admin and support to the sales team. You will support the external sales team, whilst becoming a point of contact for key customers.
ROLE: Support external sales team. Make first contact on sales leads received from partners. Identify new sales leads. Obtain appointments and visits of clients for external sales staff. Keep databases and customer records up to date. Perform basic customer service functions for clients, like answering questions or responding to queries with communication with the Ops team. Help prepare and present spot rates and RFQs to customers and partners.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Good communicator with colleagues, customers and suppliers alike.
- Works equally as well alone as within a team.
- Self-motivated.
- Reasonably good understanding of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience and ability to work to deadlines.
- Experience in an internal sales role within a road-freight operator, not essential.
