A major truck and trailer manufacturer and fabricator are looking to add to their business development team with a new business development manager. The role is to gather leads, arrange sales appointments and close deals, all business to business sales. The successful candidate will also take over the existing accounts in the sales region.
ROLE: BDM - Business Development Manager
SALES REGION: From Sheffield to North - HYBRID
BASIC SALARY: £35k to £40k
BENEFITS: Commission paid monthly, OTE: £70k uncapped, car allowance, pension etc.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Growing sales across your territory and achieving ambitious targets
- Developing and strengthening relationships with dealers and operators
- Spotting new business opportunities and providing tailored solutions
- Supporting and coaching dealer partners to boost performance
- Managing your pipeline via Workbooks CRM
- Delivering quotes, orders, and territory plans that drive sustainable growth
- Representing the brand at trade shows and industry events
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Proven B2B field sales success ideally in trailers, truck bodies, or commercial vehicles or capital equipment, any B2B asset sales experience.
- Experience working with dealer networks
- Strong consultative selling skills and a customer-first mindset
- Confident communicator with excellent relationship-building ability
- CRM proficiency and solid organisational skills
- Willingness to travel across the region
