A major transport, logistics and freight forwarding organisation is looking for aLogistics Distribution Operative to work with the distribution team to deliver customers road freight within the agreed timescale and customers specifications for each consignment.Would prefer somebody with logistics experience as it’s an extremely busy department handling upwards of 40 drivers across the team, delivering to all parts of the country. ROLE:Logistics Distribution Operative LOCATION: DE Postcode BASIC SALARY: £27500 OURS:42.5 hour week, with the hours being 8-5pm or 9-6pm BENEFITS: 25 days holiday, pension, life assurance ROLE: Support the fleet of drivers who are on the road ensuring any issues are resolved in a timely manner resulting in >98.5% delivery rate Provide effective and concise communication to all stake holders. Using all tools available to ensure that customers freight is delivered on time and in Full, whilst growing our Gross Profit. Achieve your performance targets and objectives, acting upon opportunities for improvement as well as building on your own strengths. Liaising with colleagues and 3rd parties around the UK to ensure a joint approach to delivering our customers freight. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Must have logistics, road freight transport experience in a busy department.
