A rapidly expanding multi-modal freight forwarding company is looking for a Sea Air Export Clerk to join their growing team. The client is looking for candidates with predominantly a minimum of two years sea freight export and some knowledge or hands-on experience of air freight. Must have experience of completing export customs entries and excellent English and Maths skills. GCSE or equivalent qualification A-C (4-9) in core subjects.
ROLE: Deep Sea Air Export
LOCATION: Essex
BASIC SALARY: £30k to £35k
ROLE: Two years experience minimum in export operations, on both air freight and sea freight. Experience completing export documentation, including checking country requirements, and raising Certificates of origin if required. Experience in completing customs declarations. Experience of CNS and Destin8. Our forwarding software is multi-freight. Strong attention to detail. Good communication skills and friendly personality. Competent using Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel. Strong and dynamic team player. Excellent English and Maths skills.
Job responsibilities and tasks:
- Communicating with customers, hauliers and carriers.
- Arranging bookings with lines and carriers.
- Arranging collections making sure to meet vessel/flight deadlines.
- Completing customs entries.
- Raising export documentation and manifests.
- Checking with warehouses that screening and check weighing have been completed.
- Finalising all documentation.
- Checking vessels/flights have been met.
- Invoicing, liaising with and sending pre alerts to overseas agents.
- Following up after delivery to ensure the customer was happy and find out anything else that we could look after for them.
