For Companies A rapidly expanding UK & International freight forwarding organisation is looking for a n Import road Freight Operator / Clerk to join their expanding road freight groupage team. The client is looking for a minimum of 2 years road freight experience, import and groupage experience desirable.
ROLE: Import road freight Operator
LOCATION: Essec
BASIC SALARY: £28k to £30k
BENEFITS: Pension and Bonus scheme
ROLE: Working within a department of 15 people, part of a wider team of 47.
Handling European groupage services from Germany.
Arranging movement of freight from origin to final destination, both international and national.
Liaising with customers, overseas partners and suppliers.
Experience required:
Must have a good understanding of European road freight, at least 2 years experience.
Capable of manually calculating costs and charges.
Understanding of taxable kilos.
Good customer service skills.
Experience with Customs paperwork.
Ability to work in a team but also be self-sufficient.
