A major, rapidly expanding import and export organisation is looking to add a freight forwarder to their team to carry out both Air & Ocean, Import & Export freight forwarding of their clients' products. The client will take someone with any freight, import, export, customs, logistics or transport experience and provide full training and career development or will take someone with no experience but who has strong office-based customer service experience and is looking for a career in freight forwarding.

Location: Suffolk

Salary: £28k to £35k plus, relevant to experience.

Role:

  • Deal with clients looking to import or export vehicles
  • Handle all import and exports, complete & check air or ocean freight documentation and customs clearance documentation.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in relevant software and systems for export & import processing or be IT literate to be able to be trained and pick up the systems.
  • Arrange cargo pre-shipment with office
  • Ensure all relevant notes & eDocs are shown in the job in the system
  • Ensure that credit control procedures are adhered to
  • Ensure all jobs are loaded correctly
  • Ensure Bills of Lading or Airway bills are endorsed correctly and update receipt in the system
