A rapidly expanding UK & International Ocean & Air Freight forwarding company is looking for a Branch Manager to manage their team of full life cycle Ocean & Air freight import and export clerks.
LOCATION: Liverpool Area
BASIC SALARY: High, Negotiable

ROLE:
- Looking for a Branch Manager for our office near Liverpool.
- The candidate should be hands on and not shy away in case of operational assistance is needed within the office.
- Commercial sense, extensive know-how of handling worldwide LCL & FCL shipments are basic requirements.
- There is great potential to grow the well-established office.
- The job entails managing a team who manage full life cycle ocean and some air freight import and export, quoting, booking, keeping customers updated, booking transport, clearance etc - from start to finish in most cases.
- To ensure the team fully meet customers' expectations for safe and efficient transport of their products to the UK from worldwide destinations in accordance with company policy and procedures as well as statutory requirements.
- Raise payable invoices to customers and overseas agents in accordance with agreed rates and tariffs, whilst monitoring financial Profit & Loss levels on own shipments.
- Manager, motivate and train the freight forwarding team.
- Delivering an excellent standard of customer service is extremely important to this role.
- Complete all administration functions in accordance with company policy and procedures.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- The ideal applicant must have experience of managing an ocean freight forwarding team.
- Must be a hands-on manager who is not only prepared to manage and motivate the team but also prepared to get stuck in during busy periods.
- Must have experience of handling worldwide LCL & FCL shipments.
- Looking for someone who has managed a freight team in a small to medium sized freight forwarder.
