A major UK & International freight forwarding company are looking to add to their Export road Freight team by employing an Export road freight Planner to book in collections/deliveries with respective collection/delivery points. Provide customers with market-leading customer service experience, by phone and/or e-mail, ensuring to meet customers requirements. Complete export freight admin processing work, for instance checking if consignments are invoiced.
ROLE: Sourcing, negotiating and sub-contracting haulage to approved suppliers. Quoting customers and/or internal departments for transport arrangements, maximising cost effectiveness. Liaising with other offices in the UK and abroad, to resolve any discrepancies and/or carry out specific requirements. Communicating with planners to ensure issues are resolved promptly. Ensuring legislative compliance in all areas. Ensuring that the company operates within all agreed operational procedures, and within statutory requirements including the provision and maintenance of a safe working environment.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Essential Export or import road freight experience, ideally Europe, but not essential, must be able to hit the ground running.
