A major UK & International freight forwarding company is looking for a road Freight Manager to manage a number of road freight clerks, to provide training, management and motivation on a daily basis. Must have managed a road freight team previously, have P&L experience, leading and growing commercial performance.

Location: West London

BASIC SALARY: £40k to £45k

CAR ALLOWANCE: £6k PA, paid monthly

BENEFITS: Life assurance, pension, Bonus, etc

ROLE:

  • Oversee end-to-end road freight operations including import, export, full loads, part loads, and groupage services.
  • Ensure compliance with UK and international road transport regulations and customs procedures.
  • Monitor and analyse KPIs to enhance service quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.
  • Manage operational problem-solving to ensure seamless delivery and customer satisfaction.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Road freight operations management experience is required for this role, can be either import or export.
  • Must have managed, trained and motivated a Road freight team.
  • Ideally possess Cargowise experience or knowledge.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing P&L, pricing, and margin optimisation.
