The Role
As an Operational Support Administrator, you will provide efficient, accurate, and professional administrative support across insurance and claims activities. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure data integrity, compliance, and excellent service delivery. This role will be on a hybrid working basis, a minimum of 3 days per week in the Liverpool depot (Green Lane) or from our Sunderland (Doxford) office, with the remainder focused on where you can best deliver for your colleagues while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative support including data entry, document management, and record maintenance
- Maintain and update the Motor Insurers Bureau Navigate platform (MID), ensuring all vehicle data is accurate and up to date
- Track activity, performance, and volumes through spreadsheets and reporting tools
- Produce routine and ad-hoc reports using established templates
- Carry out data checks to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Support assurance activities by gathering and presenting information clearly
- Manage communications professionally with stakeholders and service providers
- Maintain accurate incident records in line with service level agreements
- Handle sensitive data, including CCTV and personal information, in line with UK data protection legislation
- Contribute to team KPIs and service delivery objectives
- Provide cover across administration functions when required
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has strong digital skills, including Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word)
- Has experience in administration, claims support, insurance, or customer service environments
- Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Is highly organised, able to manage priorities and meet deadlines
- Has strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Understands data protection and confidentiality responsibilities
- Can produce reports and work with multiple data sources effectively
- Takes a proactive approach to learning and continuous improvement
- Ideally has understanding of or experience in using the Motor Insurers Database (MID) for adding or searching vehicles
- Experience or understanding of Oracle systems is not essential but would be advantageous
