What You Will Be Doing

  • Provide expert guidance to management on employee relations matters including disciplinary, performance, grievance and flexible working, ensuring compliance with employment law and company policies.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into intricate, HR‐related employee grievances and ethics cases, resolving conflicts and recommending appropriate actions.
  • Manage consultation actions such as TUPE and redundancy consultation (both collective and individual).
  • Handle sensitive, in‐depth, involuntary terminations.
  • Deliver training programs for managers on employee relations topics, such as conflict resolution and effective communication.
  • Policy coaching for managers on performance management, disciplinary and flexible working process.

  • Strong in‐depth understanding of UK employment law.
  • Solution‐focused mindset, ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Empathy and active listening to understand and address employee concerns.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Word.
  • Confidentiality and handling of sensitive information.
  • Attention to detail, analytical reasoning, interpersonal, organisational and problem‐solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross‐functional team environments.
  • Data analysis skills to draw accurate conclusions from raw data.
  • Interpersonal skills to interface with all levels of employees.
  • Flexibility to prioritize, multi‐task and adapt in a fast‐paced, changing environment.
  • Judgment, business acumen, influencing skills, and proactive approach to address sensitive employee issues.

Minimum Years of Experience

Minimum of 7 years of experience in an employee relations specialist or HR generalist role.
