People are living longer and we’re excited by the opportunities this brings to help people live their best lives. We’re here for everyone who wants to make the most of their time on the planet and leave it a little better than they found it – however grand or humble their ambitions.

We help people live their best lives. We help them with the big stuff, for the moments that matter: Pensions, Savings, Investments. At Aegon, we strive in creating a diverse organisation that plays a meaningful role in driving greater equity, inclusion and belonging.

We're looking for a Senior Conduct Risk Manager to join our Conduct Risk team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to support the Head of Conduct Risk in overseeing and managing regulatory and conduct risks across the business, while helping to ensure good customer outcomes remain at the heart of our decision making.

You'll work closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation, providing expert advice, oversight and constructive challenge on regulatory matters. The role will play a key part in supporting strategic and regulatory change, translating FCA and PRA requirements into practical business solutions and ensuring projects deliver compliant and customer-focused outcomes. Alongside this, you'll help support and develop the Conduct Risk team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Support the Head of Conduct Risk in identifying, assessing and managing conduct and regulatory risks across the business.
  • Provide expert advice, oversight and challenge to senior stakeholders on regulatory requirements and conduct risk matters.
  • Assess and interpret FCA and PRA regulatory developments, ensuring requirements are effectively applied within the organisation.
  • Support strategic and regulatory change initiatives, helping to deliver compliant outcomes for customers and the business.
  • Analyse key risk information, identify emerging risks and provide insight and recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Build strong relationships across the business, influencing stakeholders and promoting a positive risk and compliance culture.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Strong knowledge of FCA regulation and experience interpreting regulatory requirements and applying them within a regulated business.
  • Proven compliance or conduct risk experience, ideally within the life and pensions sector.
  • Demonstrable line management experience, with the ability to lead, coach and develop a high-performing team.
  • Experience supporting or leading the implementation of regulatory change and translating regulations into practical business actions.
  • A track record of working on strategic change initiatives or large projects, ensuring regulatory requirements are considered from concept through to delivery.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess, challenge and interpret complex information and identify key risk exposures.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility and challenge effectively at all levels.
  • A collaborative approach and a strong cultural fit, with a desire to work as part of a supportive and high-performing team.

What’s in it for you?

  • We’re serious about your future and our enhanced pension scheme is now in place. We ask you to contribute 3% of your salary to your pension and we’ll put in 9%. If you decide to contribute more, we’ll match it up to a combined total of 20% of your salary (that’s 7% from you and 13% from us).
  • A discretionary bonus, depending on personal and company performance.
  • Annual car allowance.
  • 38 days leave per year (including bank holidays, pro-rated for part-time).

We also offer private medical cover, life assurance, critical illness cover, enhanced parental leave and a variety of lifestyle benefits to help our employees live their best lives, including retail discount vouchers, cycle2work scheme, subsidised restaurant and online GP appointments.
