Key Responsibilities
- Monitor pre and post trade mandate compliance using the Aladdin order management system, investigating and resolving any compliance exceptions in a timely manner, escalating issues where appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with all clients and Aegon Asset Management policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Support client onboarding activities and the implementation of new or amended mandates, and regulatory requirements, including their configuration within systems and processes.
- Assist in the preparation of management information, committee, and client reporting.
- Assist with the automation, enhancement, testing, and ongoing maintenance of compliance monitoring processes and systems.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and external service providers.
- Act as a point of contact, collaborating with colleagues to resolve queries, support business objectives, departmental and cross-functional projects.
- Support the ongoing maintenance, review, and enhancement of operational controls, governance frameworks, and risk management procedures.
- Ensure that all activities are carried out with the best interests of clients in mind, supporting fair customer outcomes and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Ideal Candidate
- Degree educated (or equivalent), preferably in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business, or related discipline.
- An interest and basic understanding in financial markets, investment management, risk, or regulatory compliance.
- Knowledge of investment products such as equities, fixed income, and derivatives would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage professionally with a range of stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach, with the ability to build positive working relationships across different teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Well-organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver work to agreed deadlines.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a proactive approach to taking ownership of tasks and responsibilities.
- Naturally curious and eager to learn, with a willingness to ask questions, develop new skills, and continuously improve.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within financial services, or related industry would be advantageous but not essential.
- Experience of Black Rock Aladdin or other investment compliance, order management, or portfolio management systems would be beneficial but is not essential.
