  • Guiding teams in making decisions that balance customer value, technical sustainability and risk.

  • Translating complex technical and operational data into clear insights and recommendations that support prioritisation, strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Understanding and analysing Mylo’s underlying data structures, integrations and event flows to ensure new features, technical enhancements and platform changes are well‐informed, feasible and aligned with Mylo’s data architecture.
  • Leading defect and issue management to maintain app stability and customer‐visible reliability.
  • Overseeing Mylo’s engineering work intake, ensuring clarity of scope, acceptance criteria and alignment to Mylo priorities.
  • Managing backlog prioritisation, capacity planning and delivery flow to maintain predictability and throughput.
  • Monitoring engineering costs and optimising technical efficiency, including cloud spend and mobile infrastructure efficiency.
  • Ensuring governance and performance tracking through meaningful metrics, controls, and outcome‐based engineering data.
  • Enabling high‐performing teams by embedding modern engineering practices including Agile delivery, continuous integration, continuous deployment, DevSecOps, mobile observability, and SRE principles.
  • Driving continuous improvement, ensuring processes, tools, and practices evolve to support rapid and safe mobile app delivery.
  • Championing automation, including automated testing, automated deployments, monitoring, and operational automation for Mylo.
  • Promoting a strong engineering culture focused on quality, learning and experimentation.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Experience building and delivering high‐quality digital or mobile software solutions within cross‐functional teams.
  • A background in engineering, architecture, DevOps, technical analysis, or automated testing.
  • Strong understanding of the engineering lifecycle including branching strategies, code reviews, release governance, and change control.
  • Experience with build automation, deployment pipelines, cloud engineering, observability, and operational readiness for customer‐facing apps.
  • Experience working with Agile and modern engineering practices.
  • Strong technical breadth enabling effective leadership across mobile engineering, backend services supporting Mylo, cloud infrastructure and integration patterns.
  • Experience with modern engineering toolchains (e.g., GitHub, Bitbucket, CI/CD pipelines).
  • Ability to lead technical discussions and guide architectural decision‐making.
  • Experience applying automation and modern delivery practices to enhance quality and speed.
  • Strong influencing and leadership skills with the ability to guide teams without relying on formal line management.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across engineering, product, and leadership.
