People are living longer and we’re excited by the opportunities this brings to help people live their best lives. We’re here for everyone who wants to make the most of their time on the planet and leave it a little better than they found it – however grand or humble their ambitions.

We help people live their best lives. We help them with the big stuff, for the moments that matter: Pensions, Savings, Investments. At Aegon, we strive in creating a diverse organisation that plays a meaningful role in driving greater equity, inclusion and belonging.

We are looking for a Programme Test Manager to join us in either Edinburgh or Witham. Working in Mylo, you will be accountable for defining and delivering the complete testing strategy for Aegon UK's Mylo mobile app. The role leads functional, non‐functional, automation, performance, and UAT testing across all Mylo releases, ensuring high‐quality iOS and Android delivery.

You will drive innovation through automation and AI‐enabled testing, establishing strong test governance, developing a high‐performing test organisation and ensuring customer‐centric mobile app quality at scale.

The Programme Test Manager (PTM) is responsible for the strategic leadership, governance and execution of all testing activity for the Mylo mobile app. You will define and own the end‐to‐end testing strategy, ensure consistent and high‐quality mobile delivery and embed automation‐first and AI‐enhanced testing practices. This role oversees the Mylo Test Team and ensures that testing is tightly aligned to product, engineering, and business objectives throughout the mobile app delivery lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Owning the complete testing strategy for the Mylo mobile app, covering functional, non‐functional, performance, accessibility and security testing.
  • Leading the adoption of AI‐driven testing methods including intelligent test generation, predictive defect analytics, test optimisation and automated insights.
  • Defining and continuously evolving frameworks, governance and standards tailored specifically for mobile app quality.
  • Ensuring testing approaches align with Mylo’s architectural landscape including mobile frameworks, microservices, APIs, cloud and analytics platforms.
  • Promoting a mobile‐first quality mindset including device coverage planning, OS update planning, and real‐device vs. emulation strategy.
  • Ensuring that functional, system, regression, UAT, automation and non‐functional testing are planned, resourced and executed with traceability and clear accountability.
  • Identifying risks and dependencies early, maintaining robust mitigation planning and structured escalation.
  • Leading the move towards automation‐first practices across all relevant test phases.
  • Collaborating with automation engineers to evolve mobile automation frameworks including integration with device farms such as BrowserStack or Appium‐based solutions.
  • Identifying practical opportunities to embed AI across the testing lifecycle including test data creation, defect pattern analysis, and smart regression optimisation.
  • Evaluating emerging mobile testing and AI technologies for adoption within Mylo.
  • Leading, coaching and developing the Mylo Test Team, fostering a high‐performance and collaborative environment.
  • Managing relationships with third‐party test suppliers to ensure consistent delivery standards and alignment to Mylo priorities.
  • Maintaining robust documentation of testing risks, controls, traceability, and evidence.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Experience leading end‐to‐end testing within mobile app environments for iOS and Android.
  • A strong understanding of mobile QA practices including device and OS management, app release processes and mobile‐specific defects.
  • Experience defining and delivering test strategies for complex digital products.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile delivery and tools such as qTest, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Demonstrable experience driving automation programmes, ideally including mobile automation frameworks.
  • Clear experience or knowledge of applying AI techniques to testing or improving QA through advanced analytics.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high‐quality outcomes under pressure.

We’re serious about your future and our enhanced pension scheme is now in place. We ask you to contribute 3% of your salary to your pension and we’ll put in 9%. If you decide to contribute more, we’ll match it up to a combined total of 20% of your salary (that’s 7% from you and 13% from us).

A discretionary bonus, depending on personal and company performance.

36 days leave per year.
