About the Business
A fantastic opportunity to join a growing services business based in Coventry as an Accounts Manager. This is a key, hands-on role working closely alongside the Managing Director, giving you real influence over the finance function from day one – with the opportunity to shape and develop it as the business continues to grow. Main Duties
- Taking ownership of the day-to-day finance function, utilising Xero as the core platform
- Overseeing bank reconciliations, invoicing, supplier payments and the management of credit control processes
- Proactively monitoring and following up on overdue balances to maintain healthy cashflow
- Assessing project performance and profitability through Xero Projects, keeping a close eye on margins and trends
- Examining income, expenditure and project margins to highlight areas of opportunity or concern
- Preparing management reports and delivering financial commentary to support informed decision-making across the business
- Contributing to cashflow forecasting, budgeting and fee forecasting activity
- Playing an active role in longer-term financial planning, including input into a five-year business plan
- Strengthening finance processes, reporting tools and internal controls in line with business growth
- Ensuring timely and accurate financial information is available to key stakeholders throughout the business
Location / Office / Culture
The role is hybrid, based in Coventry, with 3 days in the office and the flexibility to work from home for the remainder of the week. You will be joining a friendly, supportive and collaborative working environment, with direct access to senior leadership and a genuine opportunity to be part of key decisions as the business grows.
What We Are Looking For
- Solid, hands-on experience with Xero and a thorough understanding of day-to-day finance operations
- A proven background in reconciliations, invoicing, supplier payments and credit control
- Strong spreadsheet and data analysis skills, with a high level of attention to detail

- A proactive, self-motivated approach and the confidence to work autonomously
- Experience within a project-based or services business environment is advantageous
