Overview
The Solutions Consultant is responsible for the support, of a solution designed sale to provide a customised service solutions for high potential opportunities and strategic client accounts.
Our expectations of you include :
- Customer engagement with growth and learning for you to gain and conduct in-depth discovery sessions that lead to a solution-based sale of products and services
- Progression to help in the creation of business, functional and technical requirements demonstrate to the client our ability to deliver these services solutions that meet or exceeds expectations.
- Support for you to execute on the processes and behaviors that will result in the sales of these new services.
- Learning geared for you to digest and absorb the training materials that help you facilitate the execution of solution design sessions.
Responsibilities
Provide Pre-and Post-Sales support to the relevant sales business unit to deliver TNS’ Solution Portfolio to new and existing customers.
Role Requirements
Provide support to Sales Teams for the following elements – Solution Consultant Remit
Knowledge of TNS product and solution capabilities for payment solutions
Support Sales presentations and meetings with new and existing customers
Provide and maintain regular contact with TNS’ customers
Provide support for customer responses to RFP’s / RFI’s
- Knowledge of TNS’ customer base and the Payment market for the relevant country and region
- Advise and recommend products and solutions relevant to a given customer
- Production of technical proposals for Sales opportunities
- Production of cost models for Sales opportunities
- Production of technical requirements for internal delivery teams
Revenue Targets and Generation – Solution Consultant Remit
Understand and maintain knowledge of sales and revenue targets
Review Sales Pipeline to align priorities to maximise revenue
Identify opportunities to aid revenue and pipeline activities
Industry awareness – Solution Consultant Remit
Maintain a market and business awareness of the Payments Industry
Maintain knowledge of a customer’s business objectives within the Payment Industry
Maintain awareness of the Payment Industry standards
- Security Standards
- Message and Protocol Standards
- New and Alternative Payment Acceptances
Deliverable Objectives – Solution Consultant Remit & Post Sale Remit
Maintain and build relationships with Internal Delivery and Support teams
Maintain and build relationships with Internal Operational teams
Ensure Product and Services are technically understood and remain updated
Ensure costing models are produced and maintained
Ensure that technical documents adhere to the set standard
Ensure Service Management and Operational relationships are developed and maintained
Ensure delivery processors are followed.

- 3+ Years Payment type and platform orchestration

- 3+ Years Experience of Payment related Services
- Knowledge of Transactional Message Specifications ISO, Nexo, APAC’s, Prince and XML
- Knowledge of Acquiring and Issuing payment processing
- Knowledge of Payment Service Providers, Payment Gateways and Scheme Gateways
- Knowledge of Automated Teller Machine delivered services
- Knowledge of Vending / Kiosk Services
- Knowledge of Wallet, ApplePay, GooglePay, WeChat and other alternative payment methods
Connect – Payment Connectivity
3+ Years Data Networking Experience covering the following key subjects
IP Based Access Services
- Layer 2 services – Ethernet, VLAN’s
- Layer 3 VPN services and IP Based services
Knowledge of Software Defined WAN Services (SDWAN) – Fortinet
Strong knowledge of vendor hardware Cisco, Fortinet and Teltonika and Virtual Access Products
Any relevant technical qualifications CCxx, NSE etc
Access IP Services covering
- Broadband FTTC / FTTP and Ethernet based services
- Wireless –4G / 5G Services
- Internet based services VPN (Virtual Private Network) and TLS
- Cisco Umbrella, ZTNA Services
Understanding of :
- industry standards and Market trends for the Spanish’s Market
- Security standard PCIDSS
- P2PE Terminal standards
- DDOS mitigation
- Firewalls – Fortigate
- IP Addressing, Network Address Translation, IP SLA and Quality of Service
- Cloud based services – AWS, Google Cloud and Azure
- F5 Products
- Linux
- VmWare Platforms
