An exciting opportunity has arisen to be a manager within our Custody Asset Transfers team as Custody Asset Transfer Settlement Lead. The role sits within our wider Client Accounting department where teams support the vital work of ensuring all money and assets held by Transact for clients are recorded accurately. The Client Money and Asset teams are dedicated to doing the right thing for all stakeholders, and you can be a part of this mission!

This role is responsible for the management and oversight of the Asset Transfer Settlements team to ensure timely and accurate completion of inspecie asset transfers both on and off the platform. The Transfer's team is responsible for confirming that client money and asset transfers are completed, registered and updated on the Clients' portfolio within tight deadlines.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Management and oversight of the Asset Transfer Settlement team;
  • Provide support to the team on a daily basis with transfer queries;
  • Responsible for monitoring team outputs to ensure tasks are performed accurately and within internally agreed deadlines;
  • Provide regular management reporting and escalation on daily volumes, trends, and other key performance measures;
  • Regularly review the quality of the team's work in order to evidence agreed performance standards are adhered to;
  • Continuous review and development of current systems and procedures to improve the transfers experience for our clients;
  • Liaise with third party providers to ensure transfers are completed efficiently;
  • Participate in Transfer industry forums in order to be informed of changes and enhancements to the Transfers process;
  • Review risk and control within the Transfers process and embed a risk and control culture in the team.

Team objectives:

  • Updating in specie asset transfers accurately on client portfolios, and on the same day as receipt of asset transfer confirmation;
  • Contacting third party providers and fund managers, where necessary, in a professional manner to ensure there are no delays to transfers and the end to end process operates in an efficient manner;
  • Adhering to the wide industry framework for improving transfers and re-registrations by ensuring a two-day turnaround time is achieved;
  • Timely investigation/ resolution/ escalation of queries and issues that may arise;
  • Producing accurate and relevant Management Information that tracks volumes, trends and issues.

Person Specification

To be considered for the role you must have extensive working experience of managing the Transfers process within a similar financial services environment. You will have previous people management experience and be able to evidence your ability to manage individuals effectively and support a team. You will have a working understanding of the CASS rules and hold a relevant financial services qualification or be willing to work towards this, as obtaining the full Investment Operations Certificate (IOC) or equivalent in role is essential. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced people manager looking to build upon their experience with the opportunity to be involved in reviewing and shaping existing process to be more efficient.
