Trans Global Projects (TGP) is a leading global project logistics company, with operations spanning 30+ offices across 20+ countries. TGP has executed some of the most complex logistics contracts in the industry - from major oil & gas projects in Azerbaijan, large mining projects in Western Australia, critical energy projects across Europe and even infrastructure projects in Antarctica.
We are seeking a motivated Technical Proposals Tender Executive with a focus on producing high-quality technical content and ensuring the successful development of technical proposals in response to global tenders. The successful candidate will work closely with commercial and operational stakeholders to craft winning technical solutions, supporting our growing pipeline of major project logistics opportunities. The successful candidate will be joining the Global Tender Team based in the UK, which supports our expanding global commercial infrastructure. Reporting to the Global Tender Manager on all aspects related to the receipt, production and response to major quotation requests, Invitations to Tender (ITTβs) and technical proposal requirements. Duties will involve the coordination, development and review of technical content, collaboration with subject matter experts, and responsibility for the writing and production of technical sections of responses to ITTs and RFQs. Working as part of a dedicated team based in Kent, UK offices and within a wider global commercial resource base.
Skills and Requirements:
- Previous direct experience in drafting and completing technical proposals and documents for the project logistics or engineering sectors is essential.
- Strong ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear, client-focused proposal content.
- Experience in structuring technical proposal sections in alignment with overall bid strategy, win themes and compliance requirements.
- Ability to coordinate inputs from technical SMEs (subject matter experts), engineering, HSE, QA/QC and operations teams, ensuring technical consistency and quality across proposal submissions.
- Experience in contributing to technical risk identification and mitigation strategies within the proposal stage is desirable.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of how technical content supports the overall commercial proposition and competitiveness of bids.
- Willingness to support basic commercial tasks (such as cover for commercial colleagues during holiday periods, or contributing to pricing reviews and narrative where required) is expected and will be valued.
- Ability to take ownership of the collation of pricing and management of quotations with vendors and clients (external and internal), where required.
- Ability to liaise effectively with vendors and clients (external and internal) to collate and distribute relevant information (e.g. procedures or operational information).
- Ability to support internal stakeholders in the creation of relevant technical documents and marketing materials (e.g. presentations, route surveys, method statements, project execution plans, risk assessments).
- Proven ability to respond to Invitations to Tender (ITTs) and Requests for Information (RFIs) for project work across multiple countries.
- Experience within the freight forwarding or wider supply chain sector, and sound knowledge of how the sector operates, is essential.
- A strong understanding of the multimodal logistics market, including suppliers and vendors, is essential.
- Excellent coordination and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent written English and grammar is an essential requirement.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365 family of software products, including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint, is essential.
- Familiarity with Office 365 collaboration tools, such as Teams, Planner and SharePoint, is desirable.
- A willingness and ability to embrace and utilise IT solutions in all aspects of your working day.
- A self-motivated and organised individual, with excellent time-management skills.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work flexibly across both technical and commercial aspects of tender preparation as required within a dynamic global team.
General Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of drafting and reviewing technical content in response to ITTs, RFQs and RFIs.
- Coordinate the development of technical win themes and align technical content with client requirements.
- Liaise with internal technical experts (engineering, HSE, QA/QC, project management) to gather input.
- Develop and maintain a library of standardised technical documents (method statements, project execution plans, technical risk assessments).
- Ensure all technical submissions comply with client specifications and project execution best practices.
- Support compliance and risk review processes for technical proposals.
- Work with Business Development to contribute to overall win themes and value propositions.
- Support the continuous improvement of technical proposal processes and templates.
- Participate in internal and external RFQ/tender meetings to understand client technical requirements.
- Support Operations teams during project handover to ensure seamless transition from bid to execution.
- Capture lessons learned and contribute to knowledge management for future technical proposals.
- Any other services as may be required.
