General Operative in Ferryhill

Are you an experienced operative looking for a long-term role within a well-established manufacturing environment? Were recruiting aGeneral Operatorto join our team, working across a 2-shift pattern after initial induction.

Pay Rate:£14.65 per hour
Shifts:

• Days:6:00am 2:30pm

• Lates:2:30pm 11:00pm
  (You will start on day shift for your first-day induction, then move straight onto the rotation.)

  Key Responsibilities:

• Working within a busy sheet metal manufacturing environment.

• Usingmanual hand dressing toolsandautomated dressing machines.

• Performingbasic metal dressing(training provided if required).

• Reading, understanding, and working toengineering drawingsin bothfirstandthirdangle projection.

• Carrying outin-process inspectionsat the correct frequency and standard.

• Working independently to progress through jobs without supervision.

• Setting machine tools as required and working as part of a team of approx. 6 people.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in asheet metal manufacturingenvironment is essential.

• Ability to read and interpretengineering drawingsconfidently.

• Experience in metal dressing (desired, training available).

• Able to workunsupervisedand manage workload efficiently.

• Strong attention to detail with a proactive, safety-conscious approach.
