Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in operating CNC machinery. This role is crucial for producing high-quality components that meet precise specifications. The successful applicant will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with other team members to ensure efficient production processes.
Days 7am-5pm Monday to Thursday
Duties
- Operate CNC milling machines and lathes to produce components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Set up and adjust tooling, fixtures, and workpieces to ensure optimal machining performance.
- Perform quality checks on finished products using measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometres.
- Assemble parts and components as required, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with engineers and other machinists to improve production processes and resolve any technical challenges.
- Utilise CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, for designing and modifying parts as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex technical drawings.
- Familiarity with plastics injection moulding processes is advantageous.
- Proficiency in basic maths for precise measurements and calculations related to machining tasks.
- Experience with power tools and hand tools relevant to machining operations.
- Knowledge of tooling techniques for effective production outcomes.
- Ability to weld is considered a plus but not essential.
