The Service Technician - Hire is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and technical support. This role plays a crucial role in delivering the highest standards of service in the most efficient manner to install hire equipment and support as a field-based technician. The goal is to maximize productivity, enhance the overall customer experience, and improve operational technical processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Ability to diagnose system problems when servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and customer site visits.
- Attend customer sites to carry out work for Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Customer Breakdowns, Hire installation, and Commissioning workloads.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as a trusted point of contact.
- Establish strong communication channels to share key customer insights.
- Able to use cutting-edge software and technology, along with a variety of hand-tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units.
- Generate regular reports on completed invoiced work orders.
- Communicate with supervisors, regions hire and operations managers, senior technicians, and customers on updates to drive continuous improvement.
