The Parts Controller will be responsible for stock level control, monthly stock counts, van replenishment, booking parts to jobs, consumable purchasing, goods receiving management, warranty parts management, and store housekeeping. This role requires excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
What You Will Do
- Stock Level Control: Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels to ensure availability of parts and implement inventory management strategies to minimize stockouts and overstock situations.
- Monthly Stock Count: Conduct monthly stock counts to verify inventory accuracy, reconcile discrepancies and update inventory records accordingly.
- Van Replenishment: Ensure service vans are replenished with necessary parts and consumables and monitor van inventory levels and coordinate timely restocking.
- Booking Parts to Jobs: Accurately book parts to jobs in the service management system and ensure proper documentation and tracking of parts usage.
- Consumable Purchasing: Manage the purchasing of consumables and PPE required for service operations, ensuring timely procurement and availability.
- Goods Receiving Management: Oversee the receiving of goods, ensure accurate documentation, and inspect received goods for quality and quantity compliance.
- Warranty Parts Management: Manage warranty parts, including returns and replacements, and ensure proper documentation and tracking of warranty claims.
- Store Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient parts store, implement best practices for store housekeeping and inventory management, and liaise with other parts managers to drive consistency across regions.
- Extension of Service Controller for Peak Times: Provide support to the Service Controller during peak times by assisting with call handling, engineer planning, and customer liaison as needed.
