Overview
Position Overview
Key responsibilities include diagnosing system problems on assigned projects and at customer sites, performing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), handling customer break downs, warranty work, hire and commissioning workloads. This role is national across the UK, requiring flexibility for travel and overnight stays, and on-call duty when required.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose system problems when servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and customer site visits.
- Attend customer sites to carry out work for PPM, customer break downs, warranty work, hire and commissioning workloads.
- Be available for nationwide travel across the UK with flexibility for weekdays travel and overnight stays; on-call rota when required.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as a trusted point of contact.
- Collaborate with the Service Desk, Sales, and Operations Team to establish strong communication channels and share key customer insights.
- Use cutting-edge software and technology, along with hand-tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units.
- Generate regular reports on completed invoiced work orders.
- Foster strong customer relationships through exceptional service.
- Communicate updates with supervisors, regional service managers, senior technicians, and customers to drive continuous improvement.
- Proven experience in a service or field-based technician role.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong knowledge of customer service principles and excellent interpersonal skills to motivate technicians and deliver great customer experiences.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in using Apps, diagnostic software, and MS Office Suite.
- Category 1 (I) F-Gas C&G 2079 Level 2 certification and hold COCN1, CIGA1 & ICPN1.
- Light Commercial knowledge in Retail sector with first-fix experience and ability to handle multiple callouts or jobs with minimum travel time of 2 hours (up to 4 hours) in a single shift.
- Knowledge of the manufacturing industry at an intermediate to advanced level with experience working on Packaged Rooftops and understanding of BMS-enabled rooftop units.
- People and communication skills with a positive mindset.
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
- Able to cover standby and call outs on a planned schedule including weekdays, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite.
- UK Driver’s license as a company vehicle will be allocated.
- Right to Work status confirmed for country of application.
