Position Overview: The Service Technician is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and technical support. This role is crucial in delivering high standards of service efficiently to maintain customer plant and equipment as per our maintenance and service contracts. The goal is to maximize technician productivity, enhance the customer experience, and improve operational processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose system problems on assigned projects and customer site visits.
- Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), handle customer breakdowns, warranty work, hire, and commissioning tasks.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, acting as a trusted contact.
- Collaborate with Service desk, Sales, and Operations teams to share insights.
- Use diagnostic software, hand tools, blueprints, or engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units.
- Generate reports on completed work orders.
- Foster strong customer relationships through excellent service.
- Communicate with supervisors, regional managers, senior technicians, and customers to ensure continuous improvement.
Internal Controls and Administration:
- Proven experience as a service or field technician.
- Strong customer service knowledge.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Apps, diagnostic software, and MS Office.
Skills and Capabilities:
- Knowledge of the manufacturing industry is advantageous.
- Positive mindset with strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Relevant certificates, including F-Gas.
- Availability for standby, call-outs, including weekdays, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- UK Driver's license; company vehicle provided.
