The Parts Controller will be responsible for stock level control, monthly stock counts, van replenishment, booking parts to jobs, consumable purchasing, goods receiving management, warranty parts management, and stores housekeeping. This role requires excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

What you will do

  • Stock Level Control: Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels to ensure availability of parts. Implement inventory management strategies to minimize stockouts and overstock situations.
  • Monthly Stock Count: Conduct monthly stock counts to verify inventory accuracy. Reconcile discrepancies and update inventory records accordingly.
  • Van Replenishment: Ensure service vans are replenished with necessary parts and consumables. Monitor van inventory levels and coordinate timely restocking.
  • Booking Parts to Jobs: Accurately book parts to jobs in the service management system. Ensure proper documentation and tracking of parts usage.
  • Consumable Purchasing: Manage the purchasing of consumables and PPE required for service operations. Ensure timely procurement and availability of consumables and PPE.
  • Goods Receiving Management: Oversee the receiving of goods and ensure accurate documentation. Inspect received goods for quality and quantity compliance.
  • Warranty Parts Management: Manage warranty parts, including returns and replacements. Ensure proper documentation and tracking of warranty claims.
  • Stores Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient parts store. Implement best practices for stores housekeeping and inventory management, liaise with other parts managers to drive consistency across regions.
  • Extension of Service Controller for Peak Times: Provide support to the Service Controller during peak times. Assist with call handling, engineer planning and customer liaison as needed.
