Our contactless identification and sensing (RFID, NFC, and BLE) components and solution enabling technologies address the dynamic requirements across multiple industries to wirelessly connect, identify, collect and manage data quickly and accurately across virtually any IoT application.
As our Field Application Engineer, you’ll support HID’s success by:
- Representing the company as a low-level technical expert for EAT-RFID products
- Providing low-level support for partner integration for embedded products
- Providing low-level technical support for escalated field issues
- Preparing low-level documentation for application notes and technical papers
- Preparing and presenting low-level technical training to partners and internal staff
- Providing on-site partner support and training
Your Experience and Background include:
- 4+ years of experience in field application engineering, technical sales, or a related role
- University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities (English)
- Able to explain complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences
- Customer-focused attitude with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently with multiple priorities and adapt to dynamic environments
- Willingness to travel internationally as required by the role
- Knowledge of physical access control and the security industry
- Familiarity with Security/Cryptography concepts
- Knowledge of contactless RFID credentials and readers
- Experience with hardware and software development tools
- Familiarity with system integration and testing procedures
- Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., C/C++, Python)
- EMEA and APAC regional experience
- Project management experience
