Our client is currently requiring a Sales and Customer Service Advisor to join their expanding company. This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys speaking with customers, building relationships and providing excellent customer service, while also having the confidence and initiative to identify sales opportunities and help grow the business. You will be one of the main points of contact for both new and existing customers, supporting them throughout their journey from their first enquiry through to order, delivery and after sales support. Previous experience in sales and/or customer service is essential.
Responsibilities include:
- Responding to customer enquiries via social media, email and telephone
- Advising prospective customers and helping turn enquiries into sales
- Proactively identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities
- Following up enquiries and maintaining relationships with prospective customers
- Researching and reaching out to relevant prospective customers and accounts through social media
- Supporting and building relationships with our existing clients
- Preparing and issuing customer invoices
- Liaising closely with the warehouse team regarding orders, availability and customer requirements
- Keeping customers informed throughout the ordering and fulfilment process
- Providing after sales support and resolving customer queries efficiently and professionally
- Day to day administrative and customer service support
You'll ideally have:
- Previous sales and customer service experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A friendly, professional and confident telephone manner
- A proactive approach to sales and identifying opportunities
- The ability to build genuine relationships with customers
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent timekeeping and a reliable approach to work
- Confidence using email, social media and general computer systems
- Experience using Apple products, including Mac Books and iPhones, would be beneficial
- The ability to prioritise and manage your own workload
- A practical, solutions focused attitude
- The confidence to use your own initiative
- A strong sense of ownership and responsibility
- The ability to work independently while remaining a strong team player
Hours of work: Tuesday - Thursday (Apply online only), Friday (Apply online only), Saturday (Apply online only). This is a 27.5 hour per week permanent position. Once fully trained and established, the role can primarily be carried out remotely. Occasional days at our client's Swindon warehouse will still be required for meetings, training and general team connection.
