This is a trunking and line haul role with minimal manual handling, ideal for drivers who prefer straightforward runs, modern vehicles, and a dependable shift pattern.
Your Role:
- Operate articulated vehicles (Class 1) safely and responsibly
- Complete trunk runs between depots and distribution centres
- Conduct pre-use vehicle checks and report defects promptly
- Maintain accurate records using a digital tachograph and comply with Drivers’ Hours regulations
- Liaise calmly and professionally with traffic office, warehouse staff, and customers
- Follow route schedules while adapting to changing road conditions when needed
What You’ll Need:
- A valid UK Class 1 (C+E) driving licence
- Driver CPC qualification and Digi Tachograph card
- A solid understanding of UK driving laws and tachograph regulations
- Previous experience in HGV driving preferred (but not always essential – training can be provided)
- A responsible, safety-conscious mindset with strong communication skills
