Now, we’re looking for a Management Accountant to join our Finance team and keep our numbers as strong as our members.
Key responsibilities
- Perform daily bank reconciliations
- Prepare and issue sales invoices, review accounts receivable, and proactively follow up on outstanding payments to ensure timely cash collection
- Full ownership of the direct debit process
- Manage the P&L and balance sheet to produce accurate monthly management accounts
- Prepare and post period-end journals such as accruals & prepayments
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner
- Support clubs with financial queries
- Support the year-end audit process by preparing reconciliations and supporting schedules, liaising directly with external auditors to address queries
- Participate in ad hoc financial projects, supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function
Qualifications & experience
- Part-qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA) with experience outside of practice in a multi-site company
- Proactive and hands-on achiever with strong attention to detail
- Experience with NetSuite is advantageous but not essential
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (e.g. vlookup, sumif)
- Interest in the health & fitness / leisure & hospitality industry is a plus
