- Identify, engage and convert new business opportunities across mid‑market and enterprise organisations through targeted prospecting, account planning and relationship building.
- Build, manage and progress a high‑quality pipeline of opportunities, applying strong commercial judgement and maintaining momentum throughout the sales cycle.
- Explore new market segments, customer needs and growth opportunities, including strategic partnerships where they support broader business goals.
- Collaborate with colleagues across Marketing, Product and Customer Success to develop compelling customer propositions and ensure a smooth transition from acquisition to onboarding.
- Contribute commercial insight, market intelligence and strategic recommendations that help shape Trainline Business's approach to growth and market expansion.
- Support the development of scalable commercial processes, frameworks and playbooks that improve consistency, efficiency and long‑term performance.
- Represent Trainline Business externally, building trusted relationships with senior decision‑makers and positioning Trainline as a valued business travel partner.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- A strong track record of delivering new business growth within a B2B sales, business development or commercial role, ideally in a SaaS, technology, travel or mobility‑focused environment.
- Experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders, with the ability to build credibility, trust and long‑term commercial relationships.
- Strong commercial acumen and a history of achieving ambitious revenue, pipeline or growth objectives through a strategic and data‑informed approach.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, enabling you to navigate complex commercial conversations with confidence.
- Experience managing opportunities through a structured sales process, supported by effective use of CRM and pipeline management tools; Salesforce experience would be helpful.
- The ability to identify emerging opportunities, translate market insights into action and balance strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery.
- A proactive, resilient and self‑motivated approach, with the confidence to operate effectively in a fast‑paced and evolving business environment.
- A collaborative mindset and a genuine enthusiasm for helping build new capabilities, improve ways of working and contribute to the ongoing success of the wider commercial team.
