As a Senior Engineering Manager at Trainline, you will…
- Lead multiple teams and their Engineering Managers, supporting them in career development through coaching and performance management.
- Own end-to-end delivery for your teams, ensuring projects are planned, executed, and delivered in a timely and high-quality manner.
- Partner closely with Product, Design, Data Science and business stakeholders to align technical delivery to business outcomes.
- Use domain expertise to guide teams toward high-impact opportunities.
- Support technical direction and architecture without being deeply hands-on with code.
- Drive alignment in cross-team dependencies and ensure clarity on technical prioritisation, system interactions, and data flows between systems.
- Champion engineering best practices across teams, promoting quality and fostering a culture of technical innovation.
- Drive operational excellence, ensuring that all teams under your leadership have robust monitoring, alerting, and incident management processes.
