Key Responsibilities
- Support with assessment strategy and design approaches in line with technical guidance.
- Responding and coordinating responses to feedback from regulatory bodies engaged with the technical evaluation of new and existing qualifications and assessments.
- Lead on the design and development of assessments for regulated qualifications.
- Manage and lead assessment production team and processes, ensuring high quality of live assessments.
- Develop stakeholder engagement for assessment review and validation.
- Collaborate with the qualifications team to ensure that assessment developments are in line with the requirements of qualifications and delivered on time.
- Build and maintain a network of external subject matter experts, minimising costs for deployment to support effective assessment delivery.
- Use technology to ensure excellent communication of information and materials to external subject matter experts and other assessment design stakeholders.
- Ensure the awarding organisation meets all regulatory requirements for the design and production of assessments.
- Management and co‑ordination of a team of assessment officers and developers to support the design and development of assessments, assessment strategies and sample assessments/mark schemes.
- Support with the day‑to‑day operational functions of the wider assessment teams where required, including answering phone calls directed to the team, helping where possible and taking messages where required during busier periods.
- Line management of a team of assessment officers/developers.
Key Requirements
- A Level 4 qualification or higher in a vocational subject area.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Relevant supervisor or team leadership experience.
- Ability to organise and prioritise.
- Highly organised and efficient – someone who completes tasks that they start.
- Confident in owning a process and managing your own time to meet deadlines.
- Prepared to work in a regulated environment with constant regard to requirements placed upon us by external regulators and TQUK processes and procedures.
