Location: Hybrid with travel for assessments. Assessment Centres are located in Chorley, Leeds, Stoke and Darlington.

To support our ongoing growth, we’re looking for talented freelance End-Point Assessors to join us on our journey. As an End-Point Assessor, your role is to deliver reliable, independent assessment services to Construction EPA Company customers. You’ll apply industry expertise to evaluate apprentice performance across multiple activities, ensuring grading decisions accurately reflect their occupational competency. This role requires someone with exceptional assessment abilities coupled with the ability to act with integrity and impartiality. And someone who is flexible, with the independence to travel for assessments as and when the business requires.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct End-point Assessments within your main areas of competence and experience.
  • Ensure timely completion of all required assessment follow up and documentation within the EPA system, in line with quality assurance requirements and service level agreements.
  • Attend and contribute to standardisation events for End-point assessment.
  • Manage your own caseload of apprentices through their End-point Assessment.
  • Provide assessment feedback to Construction EPA Company quality requirements and within SLA.
  • Complete required CPD in accordance with Construction EPA Company regulators requirements.
  • Complete training as required to maintain own competence.

Essential Skills / Experience / Qualifications

  • Occupational competence in Building Services Engineering at or above Level 3.
  • Relevant trade qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3 / Advanced Apprenticeship or equivalent).
  • Recent and relevant industry experience (normally within the last 2–3 years).
  • Strong understanding of apprenticeship standards and competence-based assessment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confident using online assessment systems and remote assessment tools.
  • Ability to work independently while meeting quality and compliance standards.

Desirable Skills / Experience / Qualifications

  • Level 3 Award in End-Point Assessment (or willingness to work towards).
  • Assessor qualification (A1, D32/33, TAQA).
  • IQA qualification (V1, D34, TAQA IQA).
  • Previous experience delivering EPA or regulated vocational assessment.
  • Familiarity with Skills England, Ofqual, and EQA frameworks.
