Honeycomb Care Ltd is looking for a compassionate, reliable, and enthusiastic individual to join our dedicated care team as a Level 2 Adult Care Worker Apprentice.
As a Care Assistant / Support Worker Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced care professionals to provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to individuals in their own homes and within the community. You will help service users maintain their independence, dignity, safety, and overall wellbeing.
Your responsibilities will include assisting with personal care, daily living activities, meal preparation, mobility, companionship, and promoting independence. You will also learn how to follow individual care plans, maintain accurate care records, communicate effectively, and safeguard vulnerable individuals.
You will develop essential skills in communication, teamwork, safeguarding, infection prevention and control, health and safety, and delivering compassionate care.

- Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to individuals in their own homes and within the community.
- Assist service users with personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and maintaining personal hygiene.
- Support individuals with daily living activities, including meal preparation, eating, drinking, and light household tasks.
- Promote independence, dignity, privacy, choice, and wellbeing while respecting individual preferences.
- Assist service users with mobility, transfers, and safe moving and handling techniques following appropriate training.
- Provide companionship and emotional support, encouraging social interaction and participation in community activities.
- Support individuals with medication in accordance with their care plans, company policies, and relevant training.
- Follow individual care plans and maintain accurate, timely, and confidential care records.
- Identify and report safeguarding concerns, changes in health conditions, or risks to the appropriate supervisor.
- Follow infection prevention and control procedures, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with service users, families, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
- Work collaboratively with senior care staff and supervisors to deliver safe and effective care.
- Attend mandatory training, supervision sessions, and apprenticeship learning activities.
- Complete coursework, practical assessments, and other requirements towards achieving the Level 2 Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship Standard.
- Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, compassion, and a willingness to learn and develop within the health and social care sector.
