This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and caring individual to begin a career in education while gaining a nationally recognised apprenticeship qualification. Working as part of a supportive school team, you will help create a positive learning environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential.
You will work alongside experienced teachers and support staff, helping pupils both inside and outside the classroom while developing your own skills and knowledge through on-the-job training and college study.

A key part of the role will involve helping children build confidence, independence and social skills. You will encourage pupils to participate fully in school life and provide support that enables them to achieve their learning goals.
You will have the opportunity to listen to children read, assist with educational activities, and help create a nurturing environment where pupils feel safe, valued and supported.
As an apprentice, you will also contribute to the day-to-day running of the school and gain experience across a range of activities.
Key duties may include:
- Supervising pupils during activities, school events and educational visits.
- Undertaking administrative tasks such as photocopying, filing and preparing resources.
- Supporting different classes and year groups as required.
- Assisting with the organisation of school activities and events.
- Carrying out lunchtime supervision duties where additional hours are agreed.
