A fixed‑term service appointment post (FTSA) in Neurology at registrar (STRH) level within the department of Neurology at the University Hospital of Wales. The post lasts 6 months.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside current specialist registrars and internal medicine trainees under consultant supervision.
- Manage the inpatient neurology ward and junior medical team, outpatient clinics, day unit, and the out‑of‑hours resident on‑call rota (evenings only until 9:30 pm, weekends).
- Gain exposure to acute and long‑term neurological conditions, and training opportunities alongside other registrars in the department.
- Opportunity to develop interests or projects within departmental needs.
Qualifications
- MBBS or equivalent
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
- Intercalated Degree MSc or PhD
Experience
- Fulfilment of entry for IMT Training
- Evidence of participation in Research and Clinical Governance
- Clinical experience in Neurology
