The Role: As an Account Executive at Traild, you are the key to unlocking new possibilities for our clients. You'll be at the heart of our sales process, demonstrating the unique value of Traild's solutions. You'll partner with CFOs, controllers, and finance leaders at SME, mid-market, and enterprise organizations to show them how Traild streamlines, automates, and protects their accounts payable operations. This is a high-impact, quota-carrying role at a company scaling fast across North America, APAC, and EMEA. You'll be a trusted advisor, a sharp closer, and a key voice shaping how we go to market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the full sales cycle: qualify, demo, negotiate, and close.
- Convert SDR-sourced, channel-sourced and self-sourced opportunities into closed-won revenue while maintaining clean, accurate CRM hygiene at every stage.
- Build your own pipeline: prospect strategically using modern sales tools, ABM tactics, and finance/CFO networks to generate self-sourced opportunities alongside inbound and partner pipeline.
- Run compelling demos: lead engaging, business-outcome-focused demos for CFOs, finance directors, controllers, AP managers, and ERP/IT stakeholders — translating Traild's AI-driven automation, fraud protection, and payments capabilities into clear ROI.
- Be a payments and fintech expert: develop deep fluency in B2B payments, accounts payable workflows, fraud and control risks, and ERP ecosystems.
- Stay sharp on industry trends, competitive landscape, and Traild's evolving product.
- Win and grow strategic accounts: build durable relationships across SME, mid-market, and enterprise customers.
- Identify expansion opportunities and partner with CS to deliver long-term value.
- Drive sales strategy: build and execute account plans, forecast accurately, and consistently meet or exceed quota.
- Bring data-driven insights back to the GTM org.
- Champion the customer: deeply understand customer pain points and partner cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and CS to influence roadmap and improve the buyer experience.
Who You Are:
- Bilingual with Italian and English proficiency.
- 3+ years of sales experience, preferably in SaaS or technology sectors.
- Proven track record of working with mid-market and large enterprises, ideally with finance, CFO, or AP buyer personas.
- Strong commercial instincts: skilled in discovery, value-selling, negotiation, and closing complex multi-stakeholder deals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Team-oriented mindset with a passion for collective success.
- Strong collaborator with an attitude embracing growth, hands-on execution, adaptability, and the scale-up spirit.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in fintech, payments, accounts payable, spend management, or finance/AP automation SaaS.
- Familiarity with ERP ecosystems — especially SYSPRO, IFS, MYOB, NetSuite, Sage, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Past experience at an early- or growth-stage SaaS company scaling from Series B onward.
