We have an exciting opportunity available for a Product Developer / Garment Technologist to join our growing team here at Rosso and Azzurro. Due to the rapid growth of the business and the desire to stay ahead of competition, we are looking to enhance the overall technical aspects of our product.
Main roles and Responsibilities:
- Ensuring all aspects of the critical path are maintained and that the product development process is smooth, ensuring ex-factory dates are kept to.
- Controlling all seal samples stages and ensuring they are all done within the critical path timeframe.
- Chasing factories for anything needed, cost prices, samples etc.
- Conducting fit sessions on all samples with the wider team. Ensuring everything is measured and all comments made are communicated with factories.
- Sending clear and concise technical and structural comments to suppliers, again keeping to critical path timelines.
- Testing and analysing all product, whether it's fabric or garment testing and QC.
- Ensuring compliance with regulations, product safety and legislations.
Requirements, skills and experience:
- Ability to work across men’s, women’s and junior’s.
- Excellent knowledge of fabrics/trims and the technical aspects of performance wear.
- Confidently work and support the wider team.
- Work directly with overseas suppliers and travel to view production when needed. This can include weekends and bank holidays.
- Work with the wider team to offer technical guidance and innovation for new products.
- Assist with bulk QC checks when needed.
- Ability to react quickly to changing demands and priorities.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Highly commercial.
- Positive can-do attitude.
- Strong knowledge of the current sportswear industry.
- 5+ years experience.
The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to meet deadlines, along with a good eye for detail. Highly organised with confident communication and administration skills and ability to manage critical path deadlines. A team player who enjoys working under own initiative as well as part of a team.
